The consultancy was established
in 1999, trading as Jenconsult
and
specialising in
international
strategy. This expertise was based on international
management experience, world-wide business contacts and
a proven talent for international business development and
international strategy.
In 2002 Jenconsult
wrote and published a report entitled "UK
Injection Moulding Report 2002", based on general management
experience in the sector - see
Plastics Report for
an overview, or
Reviews
and Extracts for more detail. A series of articles
by Jenconsult on
growth strategy in the plastics industry was
published
in the same year in the trade press.
Copies of these can be obtained on request.
IBS was founded in 2003 to embrace a wider product range through general
management experience and strategic alliances.
It consists of experienced and multi-lingual company directors with a
network of associates or high-level contacts in over 50
countries.
IBS
is administered in the UK North West with a multi-lingual customer service
(English, French, German). IBS' customer base includes
multi-national corporations as well as smaller businesses who are just
starting to expand into international markets.
Since
2003, IBS has been able to offer access to
large UK investment grants,
through a strategic alliance with a company specialising in obtaining grants, typically
between £0.5m and £3m, to support large capital investments in assisted
areas of England, Wales and Scotland. The service is offered under the
banner of our alliance partner, a company which has an unbroken record of grant award
success since its foundation 12 years ago.
Despite a global reach, IBS remains a small and highly flexible business,
based and administered in the UK. The structure of the business gives IBS
an appropriate cost structure, allowing customers to benefit from top
level international business experience, when and where they need
it, without paying for expensive international offices or other unused
resources. IBS maintains very close links with well-known business schools
in the UK and France and has access through these institutions to a
huge range of resources and market information.
IBS is
expanding its network of Associates and would like to talk to companies or
individuals who have senior management experience in new countries and/or
new industry sectors and who might be interested in joining IBS as an
independent Associate.
